‘iCarly’ renewed for second season at Paramount+

Fans of the beloved Nickelodeon series will be happy to know that television’s original online influencer will return.

Just over halfway through airing the first season of the iCarly revival, Paramount+ announced that a second season is in the works.

Picking up nearly 10 years after the original series, the revival follows Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) as she navigates her late 20s. Her brother Spencer (Jerry Trainor) and friend/neighbor Freddie (Nathan Kress) are along for the ride just like in the original. Newcomers Harper (Laci Mosley) and Millicent (Jaidyn Triplett) round out the primary characters as Carly’s friend/roommate and Freddie’s adopted stepdaughter, respectively.

The first season of the revival debuted on June 17 and will consist of a total of 13 episodes.

Paramount+ did not elaborate on the details of season two. Though, principal photography is expected to begin later this fall in Los Angeles.
